A large complex of roots were dug up, and cleaned. I then split the roots, carved them back and rejoined the two new pieces tip to tip. The piece was constructed completely of wood before casting process. The trunk portions of the two joined root pieces have been polished and smooth to touch. They push outwards from the inner complex of roots about shoulder width apart.
