Cement, graphite, and charcoal,
36" by 30" by 26"

The size of my body curled up as best I can in a ball fits inside this hallow tree stump-like form. The top of the cement form is flat as if cut, but also a good resting place for someone's bottom. It is not an attempt at funky furniture; the form was constructed this way to bring to awareness of one's surroundings. The concrete walls of the hollow form are merely 2 inches thick in places. Its circumstance is perceived of being trapped inside with the potential of someone sitting above, or sitting on someone potentially trapped underneath, riddling the un-reversible transition of wood into cement.
